SPOTV extends broadcast agreement for Season 2

Extreme E, the pioneering electric SUV off-road racing series, has renewed its broadcast partnership for Season 2 with SPOTV. The deal will see the sport for purpose Championship air live across Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Hong Kong, Laos, Macau, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. In addition, Extreme E’s magazine programme, highlights, preview and review shows will be shown across the territories’ pay channels, SPOTV and SPOTV2.

With its  regional office in Singapore, SPOTV is aiming to be the leading pan-regional sports broadcaster in Southeast Asia and several key North Asian territories. Its audiences will be there every step of the way as Extreme E’s world-class drivers and teams set about competing across the series’ five-race odyssey to some of the most remarkable, remote regions on the planet.

Extreme E will continue to highlight the impact climate change has had on the planet, whilst raising awareness, driving sustainability and inspiring action.

The inaugural Extreme E season proved to be an entertainment sensation which thrilled millions of television viewers around the world. The series ended up going down to the wire in December in Dorset, UK, with Rosberg X Racing (RXR) taking the overall championship on count back of victories after finishing the campaign tied on points with perennial fastest qualifiers in Season 1, Lewis Hamilton’s X44.

After a thrilling opening round of Extreme E Season 2 in NEOM, Saudi Arabia, the Championship will now head to Sardinia, Italy (7-8 May), Senegal or Scotland (9-10 July), Antofagasta, Chile (10-11 September) and Punta Del Este, Uruguay (26-27 November).
