Extreme E teams up with Volta Future Positive to tell its sustainability story

Extreme E, the all-electric off-road racing series with a purpose, has joined forces with online sustainability platform, Volta Future Positive (VOLTA), to tell the wider stories of the series around its key pillars – electrification, environment, equality and entertainment.
Established in 2019, VOLTA is a new and modern online sustainability platform, focussing on promoting solutions and highlighting positive action that can be taken to combat the climate crisis.
The two purpose-driven entities are working together to bring behind the scenes action, science, technology as well as Legacy Programme storytelling to the forefront through interviews with Extreme E’s world-class drivers, scientists and partnered projects as well as deep dives, articles, news stories, podcasts, videos and competitions.
Ali Russell, Chief Marketing Officer at Extreme E, said: “We are delighted to be joining VOLTA on its journey to promote sustainability. The ethos of the site and its Founders Sam and Clare aligns so well with Extreme E so we are thrilled they are joining us to tell the stories of the championship.
“The platform provides a second home for so much content around science, emerging technologies, sustainability, the environment plus renewable energy, and the way they take these narratives and offer solutions by showcasing positive news is a joy to see. By sparking people’s interest through the power of sport, and the support of VOLTA’s excellent journalists we hope to excite and educate whilst encouraging a broader discussion about the climate crisis.
“A big welcome to the Extreme E family.”
Sam Farah, Co-Founder of Volta Future Positive said: “Having had the opportunity to be on the ground with Extreme E, we have seen first-hand how committed they are to their fundamental principles especially through the series of lasting legacy projects.
“This is why here at VOLTA we are excited and proud to be working alongside Extreme E during this unprecedented time in our planet's history.
“By working together, sharing the amazing projects and people that make Extreme E go beyond just being a motorsport, we at VOLTA believe, together, this will empower, ignite and educate people to drive towards a sustainable community where we can all, with a singular and powerful voice, inspire hope, not just for the present but for future generations.
“Together, we can all make a difference. Together, we are future positive!”
