Extreme H Secures Broadcast Partnership with TVRI in Indonesia
London, 19 September: The FIA Extreme H World Cup, the world’s first hydrogen motorsport championship, has announced a broadcast agreement with Indonesia’s TVRI, bringing the ground-breaking series to millions of homes across the country.
The coverage will begin with the Extreme E ‘Final Lap’ on 4 to 5 October 2025, marking the closing chapter of electric off-road racing, followed by the historic debut of the FIA Extreme H World Cup on 9 to 11 October 2025, with both events taking place in Qiddiya, Saudi Arabia.
Audiences in Indonesia will be able to watch in English and local languages across TVRI’s flagship channel TVRI and the dedicated sports network TVRI Sports, with a mix of live races, highlights, and special programming designed to introduce fans to hydrogen-powered motorsport.
Extreme H will see eight international teams and 16 drivers – eight male and eight female competing equally – battle it out across a three-day, multi-format weekend. The series doubles as a high-performance motorsport and a live testbed for hydrogen technology, showcasing its potential in both mobility and event power.
Ali Russell, Managing Director of Extreme H, said: “Indonesia is a nation with a passionate sporting culture and a growing commitment to renewable energy. Partnering with TVRI gives us the chance to connect with millions of fans in Southeast Asia and inspire the next generation to see motorsport not only as entertainment, but as a force for innovation and sustainability.”
Iman Brotoseno, President Director LPP TVRI added: “Extreme H is more than racing – it’s an event that combines spectacle, purpose, and cutting-edge technology. By bringing this championship to our viewers, TVRI continues to deliver world-class sport while supporting conversations around sustainability and clean energy that matter to Indonesia’s future.”
The partnership with TVRI highlights Extreme H’s global ambition, expanding its broadcast reach into Asia for the series’ inaugural season.
Further details on the FIA Extreme H World Cup and its global broadcast footprint will be revealed in the weeks ahead.
