Extreme E joins industry leaders at COP28
The United Nations Climate Change Conferences are yearly conferences held in the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). They serve as the formal meeting of the UNFCCC parties (Conference of the Parties, COP) to determine actions on how to tackle climate change, reduce emissions and combat global warming.
Extreme E was involved in a number of insightful talks, engaging events and meet-ups with other industry leaders at COP28 to raise awareness of and tackle climate change.
During COP28, the series announced the launch of a ground-breaking initiative, the Hydrogen Technical Working Groupbetween Extreme H, the world’s first hydrogen off-road racing championship due to launch in 2025, Formula One and the FIA.
Extreme E Managing Director Ali Russell also took part in a fireside chat discussing the past, present and future of motorsports at COP28 at the Future Mobility Hub.
