Extreme E Secures Two-Year Broadcast Deal with Ziggo Sport in the Netherlands

London, 1 October, 2025: The FIA Extreme H World Cup Presented by PIF, the world’s first hydrogen motorsport championship, has confirmed a two-year broadcast partnership with Ziggo Sport, bringing the series to fans across the Netherlands.

The action will begin with Extreme E’s ‘Final Lap’ on 4 to 5 October 2025, a celebratory farewell to its electric racing, before the launch of the inaugural FIA Extreme H World Cup on 9 to 11 October 2025, with both events happening in Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia, the world’s first city built entirely for play, where entertainment, sport, and culture converge.

The agreement ensures coverage of Extreme E and Extreme H in both English and Dutch, airing across Ziggo Sport’s linear channels, Ziggo Sport, as well as its digital platform, Ziggo Sport Totaal GO, giving fans access to live races, highlights, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content.

Extreme H builds on the legacy of Extreme E with a groundbreaking hydrogen-powered racing format. The championship will showcase eight teams and 16 drivers, eight male and eight female, competing in dramatic environments worldwide, while serving as a testbed for hydrogen technology in both mobility and event power.

The partnership underscores Extreme H’s commitment to expanding its global broadcast footprint as it launches its inaugural FIA-sanctioned World Cup season in 2025.

The FIA Extreme H World Cup Presented by PIF will make history as the first international race event to use hydrogen-powered vehicles. Marking a new future for motorsport, defined by cutting-edge technology and bold ambition.

The race will take place with the dramatic backdrop of Qiddiya City’s Tuwaiq Mountains, close to the site which is currently undergoing transformation to become a world-leading motorsport venue.
